John has been starting and leading companies for 30 years and has authored multiple US technology patents. He has had an email address since 1983. John's previous companies include CyberSource (CYBS) and Beyond.com (formerly BYND) where he was co-founder and EVP/CTO, and Specialix PLC where he was co-founder and technical director. John is the Chairman of the Board of the CloudView Foundation and an investor in a number of startups. John's photography has appeared in the Washington Post, Vanity Fair, LA and Philadelphia Weekly and numerous magazines.
Jesse has launched, run, and led syndication operations for The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Tribune Company, and The Christian Science Monitor. As President and CEO of the Los Angeles Times Syndicate, Levine launched the company’s first international division and later launched Newscom (www.newscom.com) as the industry’s first international content syndication portal. He spearheaded the U.S. media marketing of a new communications technology for Skinkers, a Microsoft-invested UK company. Jesse’s experience with domestic and international Fortune 500 Media includes technology sales, content syndication, creating and launching new content products, and building new syndication markets.
A multi-faceted software engineer, Kate brings many years of experience developing mission-critical, highly secure systems for online service providers such as Digital River and Swarmcast, and iSEC Partners. Kate’s research has been written about in the New York Times. She leads the development efforts for Repost.Us and Curate.Us.
Tim has been a writer, editor, and a marketing / communications manager for nearly twenty years across a variety of fields, ranging from non-profits and academia to scientific research, technology, and financial services. He has curated several art exhibitions and published a number of essays as well as exhibition and book reviews. He holds a master's degree from Tufts University and did additional graduate work at Stanford University. He has a passion for writing and research. Tim manages the marketing and communications for Repost.Us and Curate.Us.
Tia Marie is a community management virtuoso and social web aficionado with years of experience fostering and leading communities around the web and for sites like Justin.tv and Respectance.com. With a passion for community morale, she also has an expertise in content management, product support and user engagement. In addition to driving the development of the Repost.Us and Curate.Us communities, Tia plays a key role in communication between the developers and those communities.
Theresa Ikard has nearly two decades of experience in group facilitation, team dynamics and experiential education. She has also worked in various wilderness therapeutic programs and even spent a season dog-sledding in Alaska. Most recently, she was the Editor-in-Chief of a web magazine. As Director of Corporate Culture, Theresa manages events and programs for both Free Range Content employees and publishing partners. She works closely with the Operations and Marketing/Communications departments in maintaining a streamlined culture conducive to both employee team building and the bottom line of the company.
Flint works in a wide variety of mediums to develop logos, websites, presentations, illustrations, user interfaces, and infographics. Having created sites and other media assets for the University of Wisconsin, University of California, Stanford Business School, and the State of California, he has clear knowledge of what works effectively for large audiences. He brings his agile and modern design sensibility to the development of the visual identity of Free Range Content.
Cecily likes working with numbers and people (not necessarily in that order) and enjoys the feeling of accomplishment that comes from "taking care of business" on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. She is happy working behind the scenes, and during her career has worked hard to keep things running for businesses in publishing, advertising and architecture. She is pleased to spend Fridays doing bookkeeping/admin in NoPa at the Free Range Zombie Ranch.
